The Library of Congress has begun to distribute authority records for new genre terms. The first list, known as General Genre/Form Terms was approved by the Library of Congress and the Subject Authority Cooperative Program (SACO) in mid-January. Authority records for these terms have been received by LTI and are being distributed through the AEX and AUP processes to libraries profiled for genre/form authority control. Two more genre/form lists, one for music and one for literature, are expected to be approved later this quarter. Records for those headings will also be distributed via AEX and AUP.
